A very comfortable smaller medium size viola, at 15 7/8'' - 403mm very manageable to play. After a wonderful original by the Mantegatia (Mantegazza) brothers of Milano, late 18th. century. A spectacular flamed Bosnian maple back, straight grained Italian spruce and a shaded oil varnish of orange brown colour. The tone of this new viola belies its more modest size, a responsive warm sound and even in all registers.
