My latest interpretation of a full bodied 'da Salo' Viola loosely based on the ex.'Leon Barzin and David Kates'original.
An Italian spruce front with a deeply flamed set of English sycamore and a rich orange brown varnish with some surface antiquing gives a strong visual impact. At first sound trials it has already a very warm and balanced tone. Despite the largish body this Brescian Viola design has a still very manageable string length of 376mm.
